Bolsover Church Of England Junior School

Every Child Counts...Every Moment Matters.

   About Our School

Our vision reflects our school’s goals and the mission statement provides a clear picture of what we all value. Our new motto Every child counts, Every moment matters is at the very centre of any ideas we have and any decisions we make.

The Vision

Faithfully Christian values and the warm, loving and nurturing ethos underpin the whole life of our school. It’s a place where children grow and flourish as resilient, dignified, respectful and happy members of their community. Through support and encouragement, we aim for all children to become the best that they can be and develop a love of learning that will equip them with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a challenging and exciting world. We aim for our children to leave our school with a sense of well-being and positive memories of their experiences and achievements. Children and their families are at the heart of everything we do.

Mary said to the angel, Here I am, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word." [Luke 1, Verse 38]. Mary’s trusting and wise words “let it be” changed her world forever. We use these wise words within school to influence and shape our work.

We have also introduced a school prayer which children are invited to join in with at the end of worship and at the end of the school day. Our closing school prayer at the end of worship is: Guide us by your eternal light.

This was written by members of the school’s Church Council for the whole school.
